“SNL Korea” Hit With Intense Backlash After “Lewd” Scene Featuring Top Actress
Their latest episode featured BTOB‘s Sungjae. Sungjae had acted in many skits including one about the latest trend in South Korea, the differentiation between “Teto” and “Egen.” Short for “testosterone” and “estrogen” respectively, a “teto-nam” refers to a “manly” man while “egen-nam” refers to a more emotional man. These stereotypes have been all the rage in South Korea recently. SNL Korea’s skit with Sungjae made parodies out of these.
With their usual low-brow sense of humor, the skit was not well-received by netizens and fans.
Many wondered why Sungjae would go on the show as a successful idol. SNL Korea was previously used to feature lesser-known celebrities trying to get their name out.
- Please, can everyone just not go on the show?
- Please take the show off air. They make all the guests that go on it look cheap.
- Barf.
- Why did he go on it FR..
- So dirty… I really can’t think of anything else other than him being scammed out of a house deposit or something forcing him to take on such work…
- This really isn’t good for an idol’s image… Even for an actor’s too…
