A new K-Pop idol is set to step into the spotlight and prove haters wrong this summer.
On June 19, 19-year-old Shen Jia Run will debut as NINA, the first soloist under BNB Music. She gave the world a sneak peek at her talents in May, when she appeared as a mystery guest at her father’s concert. Her father, Xiao Shen Yang (also known as Xiaoshenyang), is a Chinese actor, as is her mother, Shen Chun Yang.
Back in 2014, NINA and her parents made a guest appearance on the Chinese reality show The Firsts In Life. NINA, who was only a little girl at the time, was bashed online and dubbed the “Ugliest Celebrity Kid,” a derogatory nickname that followed her for years.
Now, NINA is boldly stepping into the Korean entertainment industry with her powerful performances and beautiful vocals. In addition to singing and dancing, NINA can also speak three languages (English, Chinese, and Korean).
