“The timing is insane…”
After working with NJZ (NewJeans), Apple has now joined forces with aespa for its latest “Shot on iPhone” campaign.

On June 9, Apple Korea released aespa’s new performance music video for “Dirty Work,” filmed with the iPhone 16 Pro, receiving mixed reactions. This marks the third Korean “Shot on iPhone” project, following Park Chan Wook’s short film and NJZ’s “ETA.”
aespa’s “Dirty Work” Sparks Conflicting Reactions Among Netizens
aespa’s video showcases dramatic dance scenes using 4K 120fps slow motion. Apple also shared behind-the-scenes and how-to videos demonstrating the camera’s features across TV, digital, and social media platforms.
The timing of this collaboration is drawing attention, as Apple appears to shift focus from NJZ following their legal dispute with ADOR.
Netizens are reacting negatively to the change due to Karina‘s recent political controversy. While some are boycotting the new iPhone because of this, others are referring to the company as the next “Prada,” referencing the infamous Prada curse.
- “i2Phone* lmao” [*T/N: Nickname calling Apple 2nd party/conservative voters.]
- “Fighting, aespa!”
- “The iPhone boycott talk is hilarious lol.”
- “People are calling Apple the next Prada, seriously?”
- “The timing is insane lol.”
- “But honestly, everyone’s faces are starting to look more and more alike haha.”
- “I think I’m switching to Galaxy next time. iPhones just don’t feel worth it anymore.”
- “They’re blaming all of aespa for a mistake made by just one member.”
- “At this rate, they’re going to end up like Prada…”
