Four more BTS members were discharged from the military this week. Here’s a recap of everything that has happened since then.
1. RM And V’s Discharge
On June 10, 2025, RM and V were officially discharged from the military, and the first photos of the idols post-military service were published.
RM and V greeted the press and ARMY with smiles (and a saxophone, courtesy of RM).
2. Frustration With Fans
RM and V were greeted by the media when they left the military, but also some fans who were in attendance. Afterwards, netizens expressed their frustrations, given that BTS’s agency had asked fans not to show up at the discharge location. Video clips showed more and more people arriving at the scene.
There are more and more people. How come HYBE isn’t forcing them to leave?
Don’t be ridiculous, you blind piece of crap…There are even more and more people…They said not to go; did you guys not read the announcements???
3. Concerns About RM’s Military Life
Fans noticed that RM seemed excited to be leaving the military and had shaky hands during the discharge event. This nervous behavior has prompted some to wonder if he had a difficult time in the military. In a post-discharge solo live, RM was brutally honest about his experience, sharing that he had experienced terrible insomnia. This was seemingly made worse by his living conditions in the military: he roomed with 20 other soldiers.

Fans expressed concern and sympathy for RM, but also anger towards the military and HYBE.

4. V’s Change In Personality
After being discharged, RM and V sat down for a live broadcast with ARMY to celebrate their return. V followed this up with a solo live. During the live with RM, V said his MBTI has changed from “Feeling” to “Thinking.”

Fans also pointed out that V seems to be more mature–and even hotter than he was before enlisting.

5. V’s Physical Changes
V packed on muscle while in the military, and ARMYs definitely noticed. During his live with RM, V said that he started his enlistment at 61 KG, it was known to fans that he reached 80 KG. He told fans, however, that he has now lost a lot of that weight.

6. Jimin And Jungkook’s Discharge
On June 11, 2025, Jimin and Jungkook were officially discharged from the military and appeared in front of the press and ARMY to celebrate their discharge. Korean media published the first photos of the idols taken after their enlistment, which show them saluting all who were present.
The two also laughed and joked around with each other, looking happy to be home.
Online, fans compared their discharge to V and RM’s, jokingly noting that Jimin and Jungkook seemed to be much shyer than RM and V.
7. More Frustration With Fans
When Jimin and Jungkook made a speech during their discharge event, fans who attended (despite BTS’s agency asking them not to) could be seen and heard in the background.
Online, netizens expressed their anger and disgust, feeling that these uninvited guests spoiled the moment. Afterwards, Jimin addressed the issue on Weverse, asking fans to leave.
ARMY, this is Jimin.
I want to say thank you to all the ARMY who waited for today. I was truly happy 😁There’s one thing I urgently want to ask of you.
As I mentioned earlier, since it’s very hot outside and the alleyways are narrow, there’s a risk of dangerous situations occurring.

8. Jimin’s Concerning “Flinching”
Like RM and V, Jimin and Jungkook hosted a live broadcast after their enlistment ended to celebrate with fans. Although the idols seemed to be enjoying their time together and with ARMY, fans were quick to notice one moment of discomfort. When Jungkook reached out to touch Jimin after noticing how nervous he was, Jimin seemed to flinch.
Some fans were worried and wondered if Jimin was in pain.
9. Jungkook’s Shirtless Photos
After Jungkook’s enlistment ended, a fellow soldier shared photos of the shirtless idol. The photos (and Jungkook’s physique) quickly became a hot topic.
10. Life On The “Front Lines”
During his live with Jungkook, Jimin revealed how other soldiers reacted to having “celebrities” on the front lines. According to Jimin, the soldiers looked at him and Jungkook with “pitiful eyes,” asking why they were in that place.

I knew I’d be happy to be with Jungkook so I enlisted with him… but how were we supposed to know we’d be sent to the front lines? We didn’t know.
I wasn’t really thinking about those details, so… It caught me a bit off guard.

Jimin and Jungkook went into the training center in the middle of winter, where it was around minus 20 degrees. In other words, it was a very tough place to be!
