The casting is close to getting confirmed for the male lead while the female lead has been set for a few months now, and it’s yet another popular drama OTP reunion. Youku C-drama Tearless Snow (Chinese title 咸雪 Xian Xue or Salty Snow) will star top actress Crystal Liu in her first period drama in three years since A Dream of Splendor, and is set to reunite with the same male lead Chen Xiao who is close to finalizing his casting here. A Dream of Splendor was a big hit that year and both leads got good acting reviews along with a strong story, so a reunion makes sense and is right up Youku’s casting preference. Filming is slated to start this summer with an eye towards end of 2026 release.
