The brand officially hired actor Kim Soo Hyun as its first advertisement model in July last year. However, following his controversy with the late Kim Sae Ron, the brand terminated the contract with Kim Soo Hyun.
The sudden change in models confused the franchise owners as Kim Soo Hyun’s photo was used widely in store interiors and promotional materials, even with paper placemats with his face on them.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun continues to face difficulties with other brand deals as some companies have filed lawsuits demanding the return of model fees and damages.
