Female Idol Makes Marriage Announcement After Going On 100+ Blind Dates

First Generation Idol Chae Eunjung (also known as Enjel) is getting married!

In a statement from her agency, the idol revealed the news, sharing that she would be marrying a non-celebrity.

Cha Eunjung will be getting married on August 31st at a location in Seoul [and] the groom-to-be is a non-celebrity.

Shortly after, the idol revealed the news herself in an Instagram post, which included her handsome fiancé!

The article came out sooner than I expected… 
So I’m posting this in a bit of a rush…

I moved into our newlywed home yesterday, and things have been so hectic.
We’ve gone through enough twists and turns to fill a 50-episode drama,
but we’re right in the middle of a whirlwind of wedding prep…

Since this is my first time getting married in my entire life (lol),
and I’m a total power-J [J = planner type in MBTI],
this journey has been full of unexpected incidents and chaos.
So yes… it’s been far from easy from the very start, haha.

But even with all that, I’m spending this once-in-a-lifetime time
in the most wild, unpredictable, and happy way possible. 
Honestly, everyone who’s been through a wedding — you’re amazing… haha.

Since we’re getting married as fully grown adults,
there’s a special, indescribable feeling to it all.
And that just makes every single day and moment
feel even more meaningful and thought-provoking.

To my other half,
who’s had to put up with a hot-headed, impatient bulldozer like me —
thank you so, so much, and I love you dearly…

Chae Eunjung debuted in 1999 as a member of the popular girl group CLEO, which was active until 2005, and made her solo debut in 2007. She reformed the group with two new members and released new music in 2024.

Previously, the idol expressed her desire to get married and even revealed that she had already frozen some of her eggs.  She also admitted to having gone on over 100 blind dates searching for the love of her life.
