Two idols-turned-actors are now married and expecting their first child.
Esther Liu is a Taiwanese actress who has appeared in over a dozen series and films, including Chinese Paladin, Green Forest, and My Home. She started her entertainment career at 14 years old as a member of Sweety, a Taiwanese two-member girl group.
She is now married to Taiwanese actor Simon Lian, who was a member of the Taiwanese boy group SpeXial from 2014 to 2017. Since leaving his group, he has acted in several series, including The Legend of Xiao Chuo and Happy Enemy.
Simon and Esther, who is currently three months pregnant, announced their marriage on social media. “Thank you, Simon Lian,” Esther wrote, “thank you to our child, thank you to the world for giving me the ordinary and extraordinary. Please bless and protect us.”
Simon wrote, “Thank you for embracing me with your laughter that can be heard from 1km away. I also believe our baby will be the same as you, laughing can make the whole world beautiful (in part with loving food). Next, I will use all my love to love you and our baby. We will be very happy and sincerely share this joy with everyone! Thank you everyone.”
The couple’s relationship reportedly began after they co-starred in the series The Good, The Bad And The Ugly (also known as San Francisco Beauty Salon) last year, and their feelings for each other grew stronger over time.
