There are C-stars that seem to work nonstop from drama to drama and others like Gong Jun I feel could benefit from doing more projects. Right now he only has Tales of Dark River on deck that I’m interested in so this new casting news piques my hope that he will accept. He’s in talks for the wuxia and investigative political period C-drama 白衣公卿 Bai Yi Gong Qing which translates best as White Outfit/Robe Constable. It’s adapted from the novel 锦衣行 Jin Yi Xing about the constables of the Ming Dynasty. This is prepped as a big male lead and big budget drama so right up Gong Jun’s alley.
