I agree with the majority of the comments here regarding not wanting Cheng Yi and Xiao Zhan to be mentioned together.

Cheng Yi is a natural and talented powerful actor whose biggest hit to date is 2023’s male lead centric drama Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Xiao Zhan is a plastic talentless traffic star whose biggest hit to date is 2019’s BL drama The Untamed co-starring Wang Yibo.

Talent, not traffic, makes a successful long-term acting career. Who is trying to bundle with who? 🤔

On that note, can Hu Ge’s works not be referenced when discussing Xiao Zhan’s works?

Can Nirvana in Fire not be mentioned every time Legend of Zang Hai is discussed? Nirvana in Fire is a renowned timeless masterpiece starring Hu Ge. Legend of Zang Hai is not even finished airing yet but is certainly Xiao Zhan’s desperate attempt to transform merely by being directed by Zheng Xiao Long.

And Xiao Zhan’s next drama Spying by Daylight Entertainment is only in pre-production and is already being touted as the next The Disguiser (also starring Hu Ge).

Can the “almighty”Xiao Zhan stop positioning himself to be the next Hu Ge in terms of works and career breakthrough? Who is trying to bundle with who? 🤔

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I won’t rebuff any replies to my comment but I surely welcome all the shrimp bots to bite this bait hard as I notice Cheng Yi articles usually have more comments than Xiao Zhan articles. Makes sense – a strong inferiority complex can produce more criticism than compliment.

At the time of this post, there are only 18 replies in the comments section. I had fun trolling Xiao Zhan fans for a minute here because they are truly rabid. The comments section is about to explode. Ockoala has her popcorn ready and she can thank me later! 😂😂😂

All kidding aside, dramas are just for entertainment purposes. Fans are so easily manipulated and get too invested personally. Watch what you like, don’t watch what you don’t like. It’s not a big deal! Whether actors/dramas succeed or fail have little bearing on our personal lives. We all know it’s a murky industry at best with a lot of factors involved – hard work, talent, merit, capital backing, inflated data, marketing, water armies, etc.

Best of luck to BOTH Cheng Yi and Xiao Zhan and their dramas. They are just two people trying to make a living and career out of a profession they enjoy.
