Following the group’s latest comeback, KISS OF LIFE has become the center of a heated controversy among Korean netizens over their reputed history of “sexualized” choreographies.
KISS OF LIFE recently made their comeback with their new mini album 224, featuring the title track “Lips Hips Kiss.” The group performed the track for the first time at their showcase earlier this week, immediately catching fans’ eyes with their choreography.

In particular, one Korean fan posted a clip to X (formerly known as Twitter) of members Belle and Natty sharing an “unbelievable” nose kiss before the chorus.
However, it was the chorus choreography itself that quickly sparked a firestorm. In a since-deleted post with over 20,000 likes, a Korean netizen quoted the original video expressing their shock over how the members were using their own bra straps as a highlight point in the choreography.

One netizen suggested that the group’s dances only became a problem after their hit release “Midas Touch,” while one post with over 8,000 likes compared the track to “Sticky”, stating that the group has “way too much sexualized choreography.”

Given the success of these songs, many netizens also argued that such provocative choreography was unnecessary for a group with this level of popularity and recognition. In another viral post on X, a fan lamented that the third generation of girl groups had previously “worked so hard” to eradicate sexually suggestive dance moves in K-Pop, claiming that they were now returning.
