tvN’s upcoming drama “Law and the City” has unveiled a deeper glimpse into Mun Ka Young’s character!
“Law and the City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
Mun Ka Young plays Kang Hui Ji, a confident and no-nonsense first-year associate attorney at the law firm Johwa. Kang Hui Ji steps into Seoul’s Seocho district with a heartfelt dream: to focus on people, not just cases, because she believes changing one person’s life can help change the world.
However, she still has much to learn and a long way to go to reach her goal of becoming an attorney who not only provides legal support to clients but also helps heal their emotional wounds. Along the way, she meets a variety of people, including fellow associate attorneys in a casual dinner group, as she works toward her dream.
Newly released photos capture Kang Hui Ji’s daily life as an enthusiastic first-year attorney. After finishing a case in court, she returns to the office to analyze trial records. Her eyes reveal a deep passion and determination.
In one notable image, Kang Hui Ji is seen holding a sandwich in one hand while reviewing documents, highlighting the nonstop pace of a first-year associate’s life with little time for a proper meal. Her daily efforts to live out her personal vision of justice—putting people first—add to the anticipation of her journey of growth.
Mun Ka Young’s acting transformation, portraying Kang Hui Ji’s struggles as she warms up the Seocho legal district, is highly anticipated. Known for her lovable and smart charm, Mun Ka Young’s performance is expected to perfectly capture Kang Hui Ji’s confident personality and win over viewers.
“Law and The City” will premiere on July 5 at 9:20 p.m. KST. Watch a teaser here!
