“Mark him for life. He marked my daughter for life.”
Earlier this month, actor Ian Fang was sentenced to serve prison time after pleading guilty to multiple sexual offences involving a 15-year-old girl.

The 35-year-old was convicted of three counts of sexual penetration of a minor under 16, with three additional similar charges, along with one count each of obstructing justice and stalking, taken into consideration during sentencing.
The sexual encounter between Fang and the victim took place in Fang’s home, a hotel where the victim was quarantining with COVID-19, and a hospital where she was nursing the flu.
Fans received a prison sentence of 40 months, something the victim’s parents have found unthinkable.
In a recent interview, the father of the victim spoke out, saying that Fan had “marked my daughter for life.” The victim was found to have contracted HPV (Human Papillomavirus), a sexually transmitted disease.
Fang got to know the victim through his position, an acting teacher at a child model school. He used his status to get close to the family, all the while acting as though nothing was happening between him and the daughter.
The victim’s father also revealed details of the actor’s behavior, including late night calls, and threats to commit suicide if the relationship was not kept a secret.
The truth only came to light after the victim sought treatment for the STD; she has also been diagnosed with adjustment disorder with depressed mood.
Every single day, by the time it hits around midnight to 2am, that was a crucial timing, I would say. The phone never stops. And whenever she [picked] up the phone call, he wouldn’t speak. He would just play songs, like those love songs and those Chinese love songs. And then once in a while, he will blurt out some of the words. And even sometimes, his acting [is] so good, you will hear him cry-cry on the phone.

The family will likely seek civil charges against Fang as well, and have expressed disappointment with the short sentence.
