Interactions between artists and fans have always been a cornerstone of K-Pop, and expectations have risen even higher since the introduction of messaging platforms like Bubble. Now, NCT WISH’s Yushi has found himself at the center of major backlash over infrequent communication with fans.

The anger began when a Korean fan posted a Bubble screenshot to X (formerly known as Twitter), captioning the post, “The latest update on Yushi’s Bubble, apparently.” The image showed a series of unanswered messages to NCT WISH’s Yushi spanning at least a week, with the fan’s frustration growing more evident as the messages went on.

Did you forget me? [June 2]

Come visit Bubble sometime. [June 5]

The post quickly exploded, racking up almost 20,000 likes in just one day. In response, more NCT Wish fans flooded the quotes with their own complaints about Yushi’s lack of activity. One particularly frustrated fan garnered over 10,000 likes after stating, “There were days he just left it like this.” In their screenshot, Yushi can be seen greeting fans with just one message on May 20 before leaving for a further two days.

Yushi: Hello everyone.

OP: Huh?

While activity on messaging platforms varies greatly from idol to idol, many Korean NCTzens remarked that even three days without a reply meant they weren’t getting their money’s worth. One fan also provided context about how the platform operates from the artist’s perspective, sharing a past screenshot from EXO D.O.’s view. The image revealed that Bubble sends artists a notification after a week of inactivity, which reads: “It’s been over 7 days since you last sent a message. Please check your fans’ heartfelt messages.

For reference, if an idol doesn’t send any messages on Bubble for a week, they apparently get a notification like this.

Others, meanwhile, complained that this was a repeated pattern. One netizen cited a past controversy back in 2024 when Yushi sent one-letter response to fans on Weverse after 27 days of absence.

This isn’t the first time Yushi has been criticized by Korean fans for his behavior. Earlier this year, he also faced backlash for his attitude during a radio show appearance.
