And this is her Chinese debut!
On June 11, MAMAMOO’s Solar expressed her frustration about her new song through her Instagram story.
She was furious that her new song was registered under another artist.
Are you kidding me? This is the first time this has happened. Does it make sense to register my song under another artist on the day my song is released?
— Solar
The photo she posted reveals her new song being linked to another singer’s profile with the same name on the music platform.
On June 11, Solar released her Chinese single album, Floating Free, and took her first step into the Chinese music market.
However, during the distribution process, the artist’s name was registered under another singer with the same name instead of MAMAMOO’s Solar.
As this is her first step into this market, complaints about this mistake are growing. As of 6 PM KST today, the song is available for listening, but the artist page has not been fixed yet.
In response, the Taiwanese record label in charge released a statement.
An error has occurred on the artist page due to a system recognition error. It is being processed and will be fixed as soon as possible. Rest assured, this will not affect listening to the song, and we thank you for tuning in.
Meanwhile, Solar is preparing to meet fans in Taipei on June 22.
