ALLDAY Project, THE BLACK LABEL‘s newest group, was recently announced.
Straying from the usual same gender groups, ALLDAY Project is a co-ed group comprising three women and two men. The group’s line-up includes former ILLIT‘s Youngseo and ex-Trainee A‘s Jo Woochan.
However, the group has faced backlash over the other male member.
Also known as Lee Chaewon, member Tarzzan has already been accused of cultural appropriation due to his frequent wearing of braids, including in the new photos for the announcement.
THE BLACK LABEL’s Co-Ed Group Already Under Fire For Cultural Appropriation Before Debut
Now, some have demanded that the member be removed from the group over his alleged support of a convicted felon.
In 2023, Canadian “rapper” Tory Lanez was convicted of three felony charges, including assault with a semiautomatic handgun against rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Netizens have found that Tarzzan follows Tory Lanez on Instagram, and seen that as a show of implicit support.
Fans have already organized efforts to reach out to THE BLACK LABEL, however, some feel that the only action is removal.

Tarzzan is not only a culture vulture. He followed Tory Lanez on Instagram. Just sick. No way TBL recruited a man who supports abusers. https://t.co/ovsp1MAEcz pic.twitter.com/lD1PPjZ1Id

I don’t think unfollowing an abuser and apologizing is enough; the man bases his personality on black culture. He should leave the lineup, will only bring problems to others.

THE BLACK LABEL has not responded to claims from fans.
