Shane Gillis leads this comedy set in an auto repair shop that welcomed Thomas Haden Church this season.

DECIDER’s Joel Keller writes, “We still can’t buy into the raunch-for-raunch’s-sake tone of Tires, even if the characters are at least starting to get personalities and motivations that go beyond just saying offensive things.”

  • The Waterfront

Dawson’s Creek creator Kevin Williamson brings us another smalltown drama with The Waterfront, this time, with a story inspired by his own father, as he told the New York Post. The series stars Holt McCallany, Melissa Benoist, Jake Weary, Maria Bello, and Danielle Campbell.

DECIDER’s Joel Keller writes in our full review of The Waterfront, “Perhaps we just need to chalk up The Waterfront‘s first episode clumsiness to the need for exposition. There’s still an even chance that the series will stumble as it tells its story, as there is still some confusion about certain plot points in the first episode. Williamson’s track record, however, makes us think it will right itself as its first season goes along.”
