He clarified a few things from the accusatory exclusive report.
Earlier, MBN claimed in an exclusive report that comedian Lee Kyung Kyu is under police investigation for driving under the influence of “drugs.” Since the report, the TV star has pushed back against the accusatory report with a phone interview with Munhwa Ilbo.

On June 9, 2025 (KST), over the phone, Lee Kyung Kyu told Munhwa Ilbo that he wasn’t even visiting an indoor golf range. He also made it clear that, because he knows about the sensitive nature of the medication he takes for his panic disorder, he carries the prescription with him—and that it was even shown to the police. The TV star then lamented that MBN chose to report on his investigation as a “DUI” for “drugs” when it was “a reaction to the panic disorder medication.”
I had the flu on the 8th and visited a hospital. It’s also not true that I went to an indoor golf range. I took a urine test and a single line showed up. Because it’s a sensitive medication, I always carry my prescription for panic disorder with me. I showed them the prescription and went home. How could you possibly say someone who’s ill to have been ‘under the influence of drugs’?

Lee Kyung Kyu did admit to having taken someone else’s car, but he noted that he brought it right back as soon as he realized his bag was not inside.
I did take the wrong car. I was given the wrong keys in the parking lot for a vehicle that looked the same in color and model. I realized my bag wasn’t in the car and brought it back to the parking lot. In the meantime, the car’s owner couldn’t find it and reported it stolen. But I returned it, and that was the end of it.
