In 2023, Girls Planet 999‘s sequel, Boys Planet, aired, the latest in survival shows. Boys Planet eventually saw the number of trainees dwindle to the final selected members of ZEROBASEONE.
Like many of the previous survival shows, some trainees stood out to fans, resulting in several spin-off groups debuting after the show.
However, one trainee’s performance left many less than impressed, even getting him labeled as the “worst” of the season.
Trainee Lee Daeul joined the show representing 143 Entertainment. Though he was praised for his visuals, from his performance in the signal song, netizens were extremely harsh towards his performance skills.
This only increased when he ranked fourth in the first episode and 9th in the second, as many felt he did not deserve the positions.

Daeul continued to fall in ranking each week, dropping to 13 in the third episode, then 46 in the following before ultimately being eliminated in episode 8.
After his elimination, Daeul announced his departure from the company, stating he would continue his dreams elsewhere.
Surprisingly, Daeul was one of the familiar faces that appeared on Starlight Boys, another survival series. This time, many netizens noted a massive improvement in his skills.
Massive enough that Daeul actually ranked in 9th place, earning him a place in POLARIX, who recently debuted on May 28!
