ZEROBASEONE‘s Taerae recently gained attention for his “honest” and “no f*cks given” approach to South Korea’s recent political sensitivities. During times of voting, celebrities are often criticized if they show even the slightest hint of their political stance, accidental or not. As such, poses that double as number signs, as well as any use of politically-related colors in photos are highly avoided.
Taerae posted a selfie of him with a peace sign recently.
While this would have called for criticism at any other time, Taerae’s smart actions and words turned the situation into a humorous one instead. He claimed that as his phone was blue (color of one party) and his peace sign was “two” (number of opposing party), both ended up voiding the other.
